How we verify reviews

We only accept a review from a guest whose visit we can establish. Here is how, in full.

The three accepted proofs

A review can only be left from one of these three proofs, and each one counts once.

Verified order

An order placed on My QR Menu, accepted by the venue and completed.

Verified booking

A booking confirmed by the restaurant and honoured.

Verified visit

An on-site visit: a scan from a table or room QR code, followed by at least 10 minutes of browsing. A window QR code is not enough — it can be scanned from the street.

A proof stays valid for 60 days. After that it no longer allows a review: an old meal says nothing about the restaurant today.

How the rating is computed

You rate from 1 to 5 on four criteria, and none of them is required.

A review rating is the **simple average** of the criteria you filled in. No criterion weighs more than another, and a criterion left blank is not counted as zero.

A venue rating is the average of its review ratings. It is only shown from 3 reviews onwards: below that, a single review would give a figure that informs no one.

Reporting and moderation

A reported review **stays visible** and its rating keeps counting until a decision is made. Reporting does not remove.

A venue can reply publicly to a review and report it if it disputes it. It cannot delete it.

Every removal is decided by a member of our team, with a reason, and kept on record.

The accepted reporting reasons are:
